Rovers
This is BALL-E® (Buddy Assisting Logic Lifeform Explorer) the robot rover
produced by LeBeaux LLC. It comes equipped with a night vision spy
camera for
viewing anything going on around it in the day or night. BALL-E is
computer
controlled robot that communicate with your computer up to a range
of 400 meters
(4000 meters-over 2 miles with a clear line of site with upgraded
transmitter).
This robot is good for patrolling indoor and outdoor areas while
transmitting a
live video feed, which is night vision capable, and onboard IR LED's
for night
illumination. The video is composite RCA video which is compatible
with almost
any TV, monitor, computer capture input, or other devices.
This robot is linked to a computer with a computer interface that
comes with
BALL-E®. The interface comes with proprietary windows-based software
and
interface cable. Other optional components, such as ultrasonic
object sensors,
accelerometer sensors, laser alignment sensors, video glasses and
more can be
purchased separately. With the interface software running through a
web browser,
the robot can be controlled remotely from any internet connection in
the world.
Keep an eye on your home, business or other sensitive areas from
anywhere with a
few clicks of a mouse. Average time between charges is 12 hours (
minimum
runtime is 30 minutes, driving with all accessories running).
The camera is adjustable for a perfect camera positioning and can
turned on or off from manual controls over the internet through a
computer or
network that is connected to the internet. Now it can also come with
optional
servos, which allows you to pan left, right, up, and down with manual
or automatic
controls. The transmitter module comes with USB, or serial port
connection for
your computer (specify in notes at checkout time). A demo version of
the video
server software also comes free with the robot, so you can accomplish
all of
your tasks through web browser or you can stream video by setting up a
virtual
private network. The software can also detect motion and email you
automatically
when it detects motion.
With the optional accessories BALL-E® can act totally autonomously. It
can
follow objects, avoid objects, go towards light sources, and trained
for other
types of behaviors, based on the sensors that you select. With the
digital compass
and accelerometer BALL-E® can also form virtual maps of areas, and
keep track
of events that occur. Not only will it rove by itself, but it will
email you
pictures and info about movements that it detects. With a few sensor
upgrades
BALL-E® becomes a truly SMART robot, not just a remotely controlled
camera
platform, LIKE OTHER ROBOT "ROVERS" that you may encounter. Your ROVER
is tailored to your needs. Operation browser screens shown below are
very simple
to use.

BALL-E® includes very easy to use interface software for windows. After connecting the interface to the USB port or RS-232 serial port, and connecting the video receiver into your composite capture port you are ready to go. The easy to use icons control ROBOT motion, camera power, and camera motion. With optional accessories the software can be used to put BALL-E® in to several customizable autonomous modes of operation.
The optional video glasses allow the user to see a Point of View video of exactly what the robot sees, while also observing the outside world. This type of Video glasses does not hinder the user from also going about other daily activity, while not having to go to a computer or cell phone to observe the robots video feed. These glasses except a composite video input from the robot's video receiver, and requires no special setup. Just plug it in and you see a POV of the robot's actions!!!
